In accordance with objectives set by the Pharmacy Manager and the Chief Technician, the post holder will serve as a link between patients, their carers and/or representatives, medical staff, visitors to the Pharmacy Department, and Royal Free London Pharmacy staff. They will take prescriptions, handle financial transactions, and safely dispense medicines. The post holder must behave in a sensitive manner that ensures patient confidentiality at all times.
Main duties of the job
The post holder should act professionally, positively, politely, and confidentially as a representative of the department. Maintaining high standards and orderly working methods is essential. They are accountable for their actions and should be aware of the needs of the dispensary as a whole, taking initiative to respond accordingly. Responsibilities include directing or accompanying visitors within the department, adhering to the dress code, and participating in service rosters including weekdays, late duties, weekends, and bank holidays at Royal Free London Pharmacy sites. Additional relevant duties may be assigned by the Pharmacy manager or head of department.
