The Role
We are seeking a caring, dedicated and skilled Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to support learning,
wellbeing and development across the primary age range.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about nurturing children, values creativity in learning, and understands the importance of emotional wellbeing alongside academic progress.
Key Responsibilities
• Support pupils’ learning and development in line with the Curriculum for Wales
• Provide tailored support to individuals and small groups, including pupils with additional learning needs (ALN)
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive environment where children feel safe, confident and heard
• Encourage children’s creativity, independence and curiosity
• Actively listen to and value the voice of the child in learning and wellbeing
• Support positive behaviour through relationship-based and restorative approaches
• Work collaboratively as part of a committed, reflective school team
• Promote the values and ethos of a Church in Wales school
• Contribute to the wider life of the school when appropriate
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
• Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Has experience of working with children in a primary school setting
• Is nurturing, patient and emotionally attuned to children’s needs
• Values creativity, play and experiential learning
• Is an excellent team player with strong communication skills
• Demonstrates initiative, flexibility and a reflective approach to practice
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all pupils
• Has an understanding of, or willingness to support, the Christian ethos of the school
• Welsh language skills are desirable
