About the Role:\n\nWe are looking for a reliable and motivated Electrical Mate to support the installation, maintenance, and testing of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging systems across a variety of commercial and public sector projects. This role plays a vital part in assisting electricians on-site, particularly with containment and cabling work, to ensure smooth delivery of EV charging infrastructure.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Assist in the installation and commissioning of EV charging stations (single and three-phase).\n\n * \n\n Carry out electrical containment work including conduit, trunking, traywork, and ladder racks.\n\n * \n\n Help pull and install power and data cables to EV charging equipment.\n\n * \n\n Support testing, inspection, and fault-finding processes under supervision.\n\n * \n\n Read and interpret basic electrical drawings and site plans.\n\n * \n\n Work collaboratively with electricians, site supervisors, and other trades to meet project deadlines.\n\n * \n\n Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.\n\n * \n\n Ensure work meets relevant standards, including the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations where applicable.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * \n\n Previous experience as an Electrical Mate or similar role.\n\n * \n\n Familiarity with containment systems and general electrical site practices.\n\n * \n\n Basic understanding of electrical drawings and installations.\n\n * \n\n IPAF qualification (preferred).\n\n * \n\n Awareness of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (desirable but not essential).\n\n * \n\n Strong team ethic and good communication skills.\n\n * \n\n Positive attitude and willingness to learn on the job.\n\n * \n\n Full UK driving licence (preferred for mobile roles).\n\nWhat We Offer:\n\n * \n\n Involvement in innovative EV infrastructure projects.\n\n * \n\n Opportunities for training and development, including EV technology and electrical certifications.\n\n * \n\n A safety-first, supportive working environment.\n\n * \n\n Competitive pay with potential for long-term progression into qualified roles.\n\nIf you're an experienced Electrical Mate ready to support the future of green energy, apply now and join a growing industry with exciting opportunities ahead
