Teaching Personnel have a great opportunity to work with a Alternative provision school in Thrapston. The school cater for KS3-KS4 students with SEMH needs
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create a culture of positive behaviour and support staff with student engagement
Individual mentoring of students regarding behaviour and leading the staff team to have clear structured intervention plans
Visible presence in class and around the site to assist staff with behaviour and to create a positive learning environment
Take the lead on positive points and rewards system
Lead the schools community outreach program through engagement projects, work experience opportunities and character development
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Experience of leading in pastoral areas within education
Experience of leading behavioural expectations of student provisions
PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience working with children and young people in an educational setting
Knowledge of relevant legislation (SEND Code of Practice, safeguarding, GDPR)
Familiarity with zones of regulation or similar interventions
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
Use of assistive technology/adaptive equipment
Child centred and inclusive approach
Creative and adaptable in problem-solving
