About the role: Due to ongoing expansion, our client is looking for an experienced Personal Tax Senior/Assistant Manager to join their thriving company. Key Responsibilities of the Personal Tax Senior/Assistant Manager: Assisting the current personal tax senior with the preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns and computations, ensuring accuracy and full compliance with tax regulations. Assistance managing the existing team and juniors on a daily basis, mentoring and developing them through structured training and coaching. Support clients through tax audits and investigations, acting as their representative in discussions with HMRC. Stay ahead of legislative changes, proactively identifying opportunities to optimise client tax positions. Serve as the contact for client tax-related enquiries, fostering strong relationships and delivering exceptional advice. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a seamless and comprehensive service to clients. Skills Required: Qualified to CTA/ACA/ACCA or by experience. Minimum 5 Years previous experience of Personal Tax in a similar role, ideally at Tax Senior level but would consider Assistant Manager level, with solid personal tax experience of working within an accountancy practice. Strong knowledge of personal tax compliance and relevant legislation. Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in tax computations and compliance. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues. Ability to explain complex tax matters clearly and concisely to clients. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to provide strategic tax advice. Proactive and commercially minded, identifying opportunities for clients and the firm. Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities. A self-motivated approach with strong time management skills.
