About The Role

Health & Social Care Lecturer - “Shape Futures. Inspire Change.”

As a Lecturer of Health and Social Care at EKC Group, you’ll play a key role in developing the next generation of care professionals; creating inspiring learning experiences and supporting learners to achieve their full potential.


In this role, you will:

* Teach, train and assess learners in dynamic learning environments.
* Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that motivate and challenge students.
* Support learners holistically, helping them to grow in confidence and skill.
* Lead on designated programmes and courses, ensuring strong curriculum design, delivery and evaluation.

Hours per week: 18

Salary: £17,567 up to £19,245

Contract to: 30 October 2026

About You

You will be highly organised and creative, with the ability to plan and deliver engaging, innovative lessons. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to assess and track student progress, using this information to plan effective interventions that help every learner develop the skills they need to succeed.


In this role, you will:

* Plan and teach engaging, innovative lessons that inspire learners.
* Use assessment and tracking to identify progress and plan interventions.
* Demonstrate strong interpersonal and class management skills.
* Teach across a range of study programmes and courses from Level 1 to Level 3.
* Motivate and support learners to help them achieve and succeed in their studies.


What we’re looking for:

* Ideally, some experience of teaching or workplace training, although this isn’t essential, as full training will be provided.
* A positive, empathetic outlook, with a commitment to supporting learners.
* Confidence in managing a classroom and creating a positive learning environment.

Please note that there are two salary scale points for our Lecturer positions. All candidates will start at the introductory salary scale point unless certain criteria are met. Lecturers will normally move up to the highest salary scale once one full academic year of teaching for our group is complete (Lecturers must be in post by 1st September in any given year to qualify and this is subject to approval). Therefore, internal applicants in the same role may qualify for the higher salary scale, although should seek clarification.
