An exciting vacancy has arisen within the Elland facility for a Quality Control Team Leader Trillium Flow Technologies is seeking a Quality Control Team Leader to join our Quality team in Elland. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the QC Team, manage day-to-day priorities, and provide expertise in measurement techniques, problem solving, and delivery of conforming products and documentation. Key Responsibilities Lead the Quality Control Team, providing day-to-day leadership and supporting business priorities Drive efficiency and effectiveness across all QC responsibilities Provide direction on measurement and test methods Carry out dimensional and visual inspection of components and assemblies using a variety of metrology equipment Undertake surface finish, hardness, and PMI checks Support and validate test & witness inspection activities Raise and update non-conformance reports, drive containment actions, and support root cause analysis/preventive actions Maintain and control calibration of company measuring equipment Assist in internal audits and support adherence to company procedures Represent the company with customers, auditors, and 3rd party inspectors, providing technical assistance and problem resolution Support Operations and the Business regarding deliveries Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and company duty of care standards Support Goods Receiving, In Process, and Final Inspection Assist in general Quality department operations and improvement activities Undertake assignments as directed by the Quality Director Identify training and development needs for the team What We’re Looking For Technical apprentice to graduate level qualification with a Quality/Manufacturing background Able to read complex drawings and technical specifications; understands geometric tolerancing Experienced user of CMMs (preferably but not essential with experience using Aberlink and Hexagon PC-DMIS applications), mechanical & electrical inspection equipment, hardness and PMI testing equipment Experienced in the use of Quality tools and techniques Knowledge of alloys, casting, NDT, welding, and coating processes advantageous Valve/process industry experience an advantage Strong communication skills, able to present and discuss views and ideas at all levels Reasoning ability to understand and carry out instructions, and problem-solving in standardised situations Working knowledge of Word and Excel desirable; SAP experience an advantage Hands-on in a shop-floor environment is essential Workshop Hours - ELLAND 4 Day working week - working compressed hours Monday - Thursday or Tuesday – Friday Benefits: Take a look at our extremely competitive benefits offering! 4 Day working week - working compressed hours Monday – Thursday or Tuesday - Friday 33 days annual leave including Bank Holidays (pro rata) Holiday Buy Scheme - Purchase up to 5 days extra annual leave with equal monthly payroll deductions Pension Scheme - Up to 8% employer contributions Enhanced Company Sick Pay Life Assurance - 2 x annual salary if not in the pension scheme, 4 x salary if a member of the pension scheme.
