Assistant Flour Mill Operator - Avon Mill
As part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for milling and processing operations, sanitation, and participation in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment.
Shift hours:
* 8-hour shifts
* 2nd shift: 3 pm to 11 pm
* Currently hiring for 2nd shift
* This position works 6-7 days per week
* Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, including 4 hours prior to or over scheduled shift (when needed)
* Plant operation is 24/7
Pay:
* $25.15 per hour
* Shift Differential: Additional $.50 per hour for hours on 2nd shift
* Overtime pay: Time worked after 8 hours is paid at 1.5x, Saturday at 1.5x, Sunday at 2x

Location:
At Avon Mill, we produce 50 lb. bags of flour and Betty Crocker dry mix pouches. Our plant is unique with flour and dry mixes. We produce about 1.1 million pounds of flour daily and 100 million Betty Crocker pouches annually. For example, around 2000 lbs of chocolate are added per hour to our cookie mix.
Our Products:
Flour (25 and 50 lb bags) and Betty Crocker dry mixes (cookies, brownies, muffins, pizza crust, biscuits).
Daily Responsibilities:
* Creating high-quality foods consumed nationwide
* Using advanced technology in a leading facility
* Collaborating with experienced operators eager to share knowledge
* Challenging yourself to do the job right and develop new skills
o Maintaining inventory, lot tracking, product transfer, documentation
o Supporting miller operations and troubleshooting equipment
o Performing sanitation and maintenance
o Participating in startup, changeover, shutdown, and continuous improvement initiatives
o Training new employees
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED
* Preferred milling experience
* Mechanical/technical skills in manufacturing
* Basic computer skills
Physical Requirements:
* Lift up to 50 lbs
* Perform physical tasks for extended periods
* Work at heights, wear protective gear
* Work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty environments
* Work around high-speed machinery
* Handle food allergens safely
