Due to the secure nature of the systems, this position will require regular attendance to a site near Chippenham.
Due to the secure nature of the programme/role, you will need to hold the highest level of UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through National Security Vetting to obtain this clearance.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
The Cloud Architect will play a key role in working across a cross functional team to support our client in defining and maturing its hybrid cloud migration strategy and delivery (primarily AWS). The Cloud Architect will also be responsible for designing the platform and the cloud services to be consumed. This involves working on cloud application designs, cloud approval plans, and systems required to manage cloud storage.
-Undertaking a detailed analysis of current systems
-Addressing cross-cutting technical and business requirements (e.g. Networking, Security and Access Management)
-Where possible, run a pilot to test the path for future migrations.
-Create the environment for effective change and transition to future cloud hosting solutions.
-Work together with application developers, engineers, and designers to identify innovative technology solutions.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
-Designing Hybrid Cloud Solutions Architecture (AWS)
-Solution Analysis
-Solution Design
-Cloud Migration experience
-Knowledge of Defence sector systems is advantageous.
