Job Description
🚀 The Job Mission
You will support the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and HVAC systems on Hinkley Point C.
This role offers exposure to site operations, subcontractor coordination, and assurance functions.
It suits candidates from electrical or mechanical backgrounds looking to enter nuclear construction.
⚡️ Assist senior construction managers in daily site supervision of MEH installation
⚡️ Coordinate subcontractor teams to meet safety, quality, and programme targets
⚡️ Support in developing work packs, permits, and RAMS documentation
⚡️ Take part in progress walkdowns and witness hold point inspections
⚡️ Help resolve technical or logistical issues that affect site activities
⚡️ Collaborate with engineers, planners, logistics, and commissioning teams
⚡️ Promote safety culture and compliance in line with Assystem expectations
⚡️ Maintain high standards of site behaviour and documentation control
Qualifications
Required Skills and Qualifications
🛠 3–5 years in site engineering, trade supervision or construction coordination
🛠 Mechanical or electrical background (civil-only profiles not preferred)
🛠 HND, NVQ Level 4, or Degree in Construction, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
🛠 SMSTS or SSSTS certification (must hold)
🛠 Working knowledge of QA processes and site safety
🛠 Able to coordinate multi-trade teams in a regulated environment
🛠 Organised, delivery-focused and effective at cross-team communication
🛠 Understanding of nuclear safety behaviours and expectations
Desirable
✔️ Previous HPC or nuclear project experience (advantageous)
✔️ Familiarity with NEC3 contracts and MEH JV operations
✔️ Understanding of CDM, assurance, and temporary works processes
✔️ Holds or working towards Blue or Black CSCS card
✔️ Experience with site-based digital tools and reporting platforms
