We are recruiting for the Permanent Position of an Automation Field Engineer. Our client is an international company that manufactures and installs bespoke automated cutting‑edge machines into manufacturing facilities across the UK, Europe and around the world. Basic salary from £44,000 to £45,000 plus overtime pay, a company car, pension, 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays and a benefits package.
Qualifications and Experience
* Electrical background with some mechanical experience
* HND or HNC qualified, or apprentice trained
* Ability to read planned machine drawings
* Experience with PLCs and machine automation control systems
* Proven experience with fault finding, servicing and machine installation
* Confident working with complex automated machinery; able to work alone or as part of a team
* Strong customer communication and ability to produce technical reports and documentation
* Willingness to travel for services and new machine installations, including staying away from home for training
* Full UK driving licence
