Newstaff Employment is hiring an organised, confident, and reliable Cover Supervisor in Dunstable to support local secondary schools. This role is perfect for aspiring teachers, graduates, experienced teaching assistants ready for progression, or anyone with strong behaviour-management skills who enjoys working with young people.

Salary: £15.00 – £16.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities
1. Supervise classes during teacher absences and ensure continuity of learning.
2. Maintain a positive, focused, and well-managed classroom environment.
3. Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
4. Support teachers and the wider school team where needed.
Essential Skills & Experience
5. Confident communicator able to engage and motivate secondary-age students.
6. Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
7. Professional, reliable, and adaptable in different school environments.
8. Experience working with young people (education or youth settings).
9. Valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
