Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Chef to join our team at The Pleasance Lifehouse, Edinburgh Location: The Pleasance, Edinburgh, EH8 9UE Pay: £13.99/hour Hours: Permanent, part-time, 20 hours/week, Monday to Friday Shift times: Earlies/Lates - alternate weeks. Earlies 06:45 – 13:15, Lates 14:30 – 21:00 with occasional absence cover and functions The Pleasance is a Rapid Access Accommodation service and a key part in the City of Edinburgh approach to reducing rough sleeping and towards reducing homelessness. Residents are referred from street based agencies and stay with us until appropriate temporary accommodation and support is identified and accessed. You will be assisting with the production of both hot and cold food, deli grab & go items and serving on the hot food counter at breakfast and lunchtime, providing excellent customer service to our customers, and ensuring all Health and Safety regulations are followed. What you’ll do: • You will be preparing both hot and cold food, alongside deli grab & go items (sandwiches, wraps, salads, and fruit pots) • You will be serving on the hot counter at breakfast and lunchtime, keeping track of any dishes running low and always conducting Food Safety. • Placing orders and performing stock takes, alongside assisting with storing deliveries and deep cleans of the unit on a daily/weekly basis. • You will be operating tills and taking payments, whilst providing excellent customer service to our customers. You will also be upselling sizes and products. • Organising and coordinating hospitality.
