Your Role as a Registered Manager in Family Assessment
* Assess parents to safeguard and promote children’s well-being.
* Safeguard children and parents through assessments, planning, and reviews.
* Support and mentor parents to develop essential parenting skills.
* Help parents reach their full potential in caring for their children.
* Develop and offer the best support to families.
* Provide advice and guidance to help families build stability.
* Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
* Oversee the daily management and operations of the Family Assessment Centre, ensuring a safe, compliant, and homely environment.
* Mentor new and less experienced staff and lead the team during shifts.
* Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the staff team.
* Manage recruitment, training, and professional development of staff, identifying training needs.
* Act as a role model, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and high standards of care.
* Supervise staff effectively and manage rotas.
Candidate Requirements
* Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce Diploma or equivalent.
* Either hold or be committed to completing a Level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management for health & social care for children & young people.
* Minimum two years’ experience in Family Assessment or similar.
* Experience with Ofsted or knowledge of relevant legislation and requirements.
* Prioritize children’s safety and well-being.
* Nurturing, supportive, with strong mentoring skills.
* Experienced in safeguarding and creating stable environments.
* Empathetic, understanding, and encouraging.
* Proven leadership and motivation skills for staff teams.
* Self-motivated and adaptable to fast-paced settings.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with high empathy.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Committed to supporting families and building positive relationships with children, parents, and professionals.
