Interim Financial Controller, 12 Month FTC | North Kent | Up to £65k
An established financial services organisation is seeking a Financial Controller to join its Finance team for a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the CFO, you will play a key role in ensuring robust financial accounting, reporting, and control processes are maintained across the business. You will also manage one direct report and work closely with the wider leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and support core accounting, banking, and financial control processes.
Lead the year-end close and external audit process, including preparation of statutory financial statements.
Provide accurate and timely monthly financial and management reporting.
Monitor and maintain cashflow forecasts and ensure investments align with company policy.
Partner with the business to deliver financial insight, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
Supervise and develop an Accounts Assistant.
About You:
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Strong experience in financial accounting, control, and reporting.
Proven ability to manage end-to-end financial processes and deliver to tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Highly organised, analytical, and a strong team player.
