We are looking for a talented trainer to join our team and participate in delivering training to individuals providing great care in community settings. You will be responsible for ensuring all community employees are trained in accordance with legislation, contractual agreements, policies, procedures, and individual needs.
As a trainer, you should have thorough knowledge of the Care Act and other legislation relevant to community care. You will collaborate with the Learning and Development department, Branch Manager, and Operations Manager. You should be able to work both independently and as part of a team, delivering training and developing bespoke training packages tailored to the needs of the people we support.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Branch Manager and work as a team member to develop and implement training strategies that support the business objectives of the DCA Office.
* Lead and participate in the planning, implementation, delivery, and assessment of relevant training, utilizing all training methods including e-learning, face-to-face, practical training, and coaching to meet company goals.
* Deliver training to staff, ensuring development opportunities within the DCA Office, and making effective use of resources.
* Plan, coordinate, deliver, monitor, and record all new staff inductions during their probationary period, liaising with line managers and care coordinators to ensure meetings and supervision are scheduled and documented.
* Provide advice, support, and guidance to the Branch Manager and assist with the development of new staff.
* Contribute to training, assessment, and competency development to ensure a fully qualified, compliant workforce.
* Monitor training compliance among staff, prompting refresher training for mandatory subjects as needed, and working with coordinators to schedule training sessions.
* Identify and arrange classroom-based training sessions for staff.
* Mentor new staff through the Care Certificate, ensuring observations and assessments are completed and recorded.
* Support care staff in applying for relevant HSC Diplomas and their ongoing development in partnership with the Learning and Development Department.
* Develop innovative and flexible training initiatives to meet the company's needs.
* Collaborate with external stakeholders to facilitate access to local and bespoke training based on individual needs.
* Liaise with the National Learning and Development Department to ensure relevant training programs are available and reviewed regularly.
