Main duties of the job
As a member of the team the post holder will provide advice to all disciplines of staff on infection prevention and control policy and practice.
The Post Holder will be required to participate in a 7 day service across the acute and community sector.
Responsibilities include audit, surveillance, education and training and management of alert organisms including outbreaks. The post holder will deputise for the Senior Infection Prevention and Control Nurse when necessary.
Applicants must be Registered Nurses with teaching experience. They will be required to work autonomously, able to prioritise workload and demonstrate effective skills in leadership, change management and communication. The post holder will be required to work across acute and community services therefore car driver/access to undertake community visits essential.
