Chef Manager - Aylesbury Job Title: Chef Manager Location: RAF Halton Salary: 32,000- 35,000 Role Overview: As Chef Manager at RAF Halton, you will lead the catering operations within the Phase 1 Training Mess, ensuring Sodexo delivers exceptional service that meets client expectations. You will manage and develop your team, oversee food safety and health & safety compliance, control costs, and maintain strong client relationships-all while upholding Sodexo's values and standards. Key Responsibilities: Plan, oversee, and grow catering services in line with Sodexo's service offer and client needs Lead and develop a team of 10-12 multi-skilled kitchen and front-of-house staff Ensure full compliance with Sodexo's Health & Safety and Food Safety policies and procedures Achieve financial targets through effective cost control, stock management, and waste reduction Maintain excellent client relationships, handling queries and complaints professionally Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth service delivery aligned with Sodexo's quality standards Promote Sodexo's values, brand integrity, and commitment to corporate social responsibility Drive continuous service improvements and support your own professional development Essential Qualifications & Experience: Extensive knowledge and/or qualifications in Health & Safety and Food Safety Previous Chef experience, working in a fast paced kitchen environment Proven leadership skills with ability to motivate and develop teams Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to work independently and as a team player, demonstrating adherence to Sodexo standards Experience with menu planning and stock control software Ambitious, motivated, and committed to delivering excellence and continuous development Why Join Us?
