Overview
Role: Mobile Electrician (Data Centres) at EMCOR UK.
Location: Mobile (London / M4 Corridor)
Salary: £40,000 + Van (OT paid at x1.5)
Working hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00
What You'll Do
* Able to demonstrate a proven post-apprenticeship track record in project installation work.
* Install and modify electrical components and systems including 1st fix containment, 2nd fix installations, power and lighting, and commissioning.
* Carry out testing and inspections to enable certification.
* Assist the Project Manager/Supervisor with information to enable estimates/quotations as required.
* Conform to safety rules and apply good engineering and safety practices.
* Install trays, ladders, conduits, etc., as per construction drawings.
* Provide information on progress as per Project Programme and follow RAMS.
* Drive continuous improvement and value for money.
* Be willing to work in secure and sensitive environments.
* Assist PM/Supervisor to oversee Sub Contractors on site to ensure safe working and prevent bad practices.
Who You'll Be
* Qualified to City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & 2 or equivalent NVQ and C&G 2382-10 18th Edition (minimum).
* C&G 2391-10 Inspection & Testing; C&G 2391-20 Design & Verification preferred but not required.
* Experience of commercial electrical installations.
* Experience of installation of LV distribution systems.
* Experience with DC/UPS systems is advantageous but not essential.
* Experience of safe working practices and permit to work systems.
* Demonstrable skills in dealing with internal and external customers and suppliers on complex issues.
* Preferably hold SMSTS, SSSTS or IOSH.
* First Aid, IPAF and PASMA training will be provided if required, but advantageous if already certified.
