Job Title: Chef
As a Chef, you will be responsible for planning and providing daily nutritious meals for our residents, ensuring all food purchased is fresh and within budget. You will also ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. The role requires a team player who can inspire and motivate your team.
Reports to: Home Manager
Skills and Attributes
* Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in healthcare or hospitality.
* Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of various techniques.
* Knowledge of nutrition and menu development to meet dietary requirements.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Effective time management and ability to work under pressure.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* Ability to train and supervise kitchen staff.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Education and Qualifications
* Food Hygiene Certified – Level 2, with willingness to pursue Intermediate Food Hygiene qualifications.
* First Aid Certified.
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Food Preparation/Catering.
