Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Part Time Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patients.
This will be 30 hours per week:
Monday: 1030hrs - 1830hrs
Tuesday: 0745hrs - 1345hrs
Wednesday: 0745hrs - 1145hrs
Thursday: 0745hrs - 1145hrs
Friday: 1030hrs - 1830hrs
Duties
* Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
* Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations.
* Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a timely manner.
* Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld.
* Process patient paperwork and insurance claims as required.
* Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate effective communication.
* Handle billing inquiries and assist patients with payment processes.
* Keep the reception area organised and stocked with necessary supplies.
Skills
* Strong administrative skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Proficiency in office software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
* Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential.
