Up to date information technology and leading computer programmes are used to process accounts and tax returns efficiently and effectively and to speed communications.
About the vacancy
There is an immediate start for a Finance apprentice. We are looking for an Accounts L2 candidate. We are looking to invest in an apprentice who wants to progress and grow in a company that can offer excellent long-term career progression.
* Preparation of Annual Accounts from start to finish, including company Tax Returns
* Completion of personal Tax Returns
* Payroll processing
* Bookkeeping, including VAT Returns and reconciliations
* Use of Accountancy software (Xero, Quickfile, QuickBooks)
* Ad hoc responsibilities
* Potential for other areas of Accountancy (R&D claims, Independent Examinations, Management Accounts).
You will receive the following training:

Outcome
On completion of the L2 Accounts Apprenticeship, we are offering the right person a long-term career and a permanent position.
The starting salary is £15,392 a year for 37 hours Monday to Thursday 9.00am – 5.00pm.Friday hours are 8.30am – 4.30pm with a 30min lunch..
The apprenticeship will run for 1 Year 4 Months.

Bury College welcomed learners from 12 Greater Manchester colleges for the GM Skills Foundation Studies Competition, where students showcased creative heritage-inspired projects and took part in a collaborative team challenge. The event celebrated student creativity, confidence, and community.
Bury College hosted the GM Skills Construction Competition on Friday 13th March 2026, with students from nine colleges competing across Plastering, Bricklaying, Carpentry and Joinery, Electrical Installation, Painting and Decorating, and Plumbing, showcasing top skills and earning multiple wins.
