This banking business are going through a large procurement transformation with an aim to simplifying procurement, by a new more traditional set up of categorised teams managing full end to procurement across their designated spend areas.
You'll be leading a team of Procurement managers tasked with taking strategic control of BPO, Digitalisation of process and banking operations.

Role and responsibilities:
* Creation and executive approval of category strategies ensuring the true end to end cost picture, opportunities, risks and innovation are fully implemented
* Deliver complex negotiations through the technical delivery of RFx's
* market insight, thought leadership and knowledge to the business to execute industry leading commercial models demonstrating value creation capabilities.
* Develop insightful benchmarking data to support and challenge business decisions.
* Drive collaboration and stakeholder management at an executive level within the business and with external partners/suppliers.
* Understanding procurement systems and generate channel strategy to promote the maximum efficient use of these
* Proactively identify and lead opportunities for UK & Global negotiations
Experience and requirements:
* Extensive leadership procurement experience in a financial services / banking organisation, specifically across banking operations.
* Experience with large scale banking transformation
* Worked in a regulated industry such as Banking, Financial Services, Insurance or Professional Services (preferrable)
* Private sector procurement experience, ideally working for a global business
* Previous experience working on complex global projects, dealing with Tier 1 suppliers of significant values
* Confident in engaging and influencing senior level stakeholders, and across various regions
* A highly strategic mindset when approaching procurement, suppliers and business needs
* Excellent communications skills when dealing with contacts in different cultures and countries
* Able to adapt in a very fast paced, continuously changing environment
* MCIPS qualified, nice to have but not essential
