We are seeking a highly motivated and technical Senior Health Economic Modeller with expertise in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) to join the Liverpool Reviews and Implementation Group (LRiG). LRiG sits in the Department of Health Data Science (HDS), which is part of the Institute of Population Health (IPH) at the University of Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced health economic modeller to help shape health policy and practice in the UK and internationally.

As part of an established NIHR External Assessment Group (EAG) working on the Technology Assessment Reviews (TAR) contract, you will play a pivotal role in generating and critiquing evidence to inform healthcare decision-making, and advancing economic evaluation methods. You will work closely with an experienced multi-disciplinary team of health economists, statisticians and systematic reviewers to lead the critique of economic evidence submitted to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), NHS partners and industry.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the growing output of the Evidence Synthesis and HTA, and broader Health Economics research themes within IPH either through methods research or by collaborating with University colleagues, NHS partners and industry on applied projects. Support will be given to Early Career Researchers who do not yet have much experience attracting grant funding. Candidates applying for Grade 9 will be expected to have experience in winning funding in either an academic or private-sector setting.

You will have a Master¿s degree or equivalent experience in Health Economics, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research or a similar quantitative discipline. For those applicants wishing to pursue further academic accreditation, the Department can support PhD by prior publication.
