Assistant Accountant - £32K - £35K - Salary dependent on experience
An independent accountancy practice is looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join its team, offering exposure to a varied client base and a broad mix of accounting work across different industries.

The Role
1. Assist with month-end and year-end processes, including management accounts preparation
2. Post journals (accruals, prepayments, adjustments)
3. Prepare and maintain trial balances
4. Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
5. Review balance sheet accounts
6. Prepare and submit VAT returns
7. Support CIS and other regulatory submissions
8. Manage purchase and sales ledger, including invoicing, payment runs and credit control
