The Customer Support Operative (CSO) is responsible for the day-to-day remediation of issues in customers’ homes. This role takes ownership of ongoing customer issues as required. The role coordinates with the CSC to ensure the correct resources are available to undertake work in customers’ homes on the appointed date to resolve the identified issues.
What you will do:
1. Undertake planned and reactive remedial work across trades such as carpentry, painting, dry lining, etc., and perform other duties as directed by the CSM.
2. Coordinate work as required and conduct inspections of issues as directed by the CSM.
3. Source additional materials efficiently with the agreement of the CSC team if needed.
Customer Service:
1. Maintain regular communication with customers in their homes.
2. Keep the Customer Support Department fully updated through regular liaison.
3. Remain calm and professional when dealing with difficult customers or situations, demonstrating high personal integrity and respect for others.
4. Communicate clearly at the customer's level of understanding and behave honestly and trustworthy at all times.
Teamwork:
* Support and assist team members as needed.
Cost Control:
1. Plan and execute work safely and cost-effectively.
2. Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve standards, share ideas with the team, and manage expenses with weekly reporting.
Health and Safety:
1. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and site standards, demonstrating a good understanding of NHBC standards.
What you will have:
* Qualified City & Guilds carpenter or painter.
* Experience in other trades is preferred.
* Experience working in occupied homes.
* Ability to work independently.
