We’re supporting Porvair in New Milton who are looking to recruit a Cleanroom Operative to join their production team on a day shift.
What’s the role all about?
This is a production-based role working within a cleanroom environment, supporting manufacturing activities to ensure products are produced safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
You’ll be involved in a range of duties including machine operation, inspection and following strict cleanroom procedures.
Due to the nature of the environment, all staff must adhere to strict contamination control standards including:
No mobile phones in the cleanroom
No makeup
No jewellery or piercings
Full compliance with gowning and hygiene procedures
Hours and pay
£13.10 per hour
39 hours per week
4.5 day working week
Day shift position
Key responsibilities
Operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently
Carry out visual inspections and quality checks on products
Follow SOPs, work instructions and cleanroom procedures accurately
Assemble and handle small precision components
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and contamination control
Record production information accurately using systems or paperwork
Work towards production targets without compromising quality
Support continuous improvement and team objectives
Maintain a safe and organised working environment
What you’ll need
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
Experience within a production, manufacturing or assembly environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to spot defects
Ability to follow detailed procedures and work instructions
Good manual dexterity and confidence handling small components
Experience operating machinery or production equipment
Understanding of quality standards and inspection processes
Good communication and teamwork skills
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable
Previous experience working in a cleanroom environment
Understanding of contamination control and gowning procedures
Experience using production systems or scanners
