Specialist Clinical Technologist / Radiographer
Nuclear Medicine – Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Stobhill Hospital

We are seeking an enthusiastic Specialist Clinical Technologist / Radiographer to join our multi‑disciplinary team providing nuclear medicine services to the North‑East sector of NHS GGC. The role requires working at both Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Stobhill Hospital.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will participate in a range of specialist technical duties, providing direct patient care and ensuring a high‑quality clinical service.
Services include SPECT‑CT scanning, non‑imaging procedures and therapy. Additional specialist services include DXA at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
Qualifications
* Honours Degree (or equivalent knowledge and experience) in a relevant subject with post‑qualification experience in nuclear medicine.
* Peer‑reviewed training in nuclear medicine (e.g. IPEM Diploma in Clinical Technology (Nuclear Medicine), MSc/PgDip Nuclear Medicine or equivalent) is required.
* Applicants who have not yet achieved an IPEM Diploma in Clinical Technology (Nuclear Medicine) or demonstrated equivalent may be offered a contract at a lower grade for a short term until equivalence is shown.
* The competency level to be achieved is set out in the Register of Clinical Technologists (RCT) scope of practice for nuclear medicine and would normally be demonstrated via a portfolio of evidence.

Recruitment Process: As from 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑ra, but there will be a corresponding increase in hourly rate so pay will not be affected.
