Overview
Our client, a leading further education provider, is recruiting a
Lecturer in Travel & Tourism
to join its well-established department in Epsom. This role is ideal for a motivated and dynamic professional with industry experience in
Travel & Tourism, Aviation, or Cabin Crew
, who is passionate about inspiring learners and helping them progress in their education and careers.
The college offers well-resourced programmes at Levels 1–3, including domestic and international study trips, a fully equipped cabin crew training room, and strong links with local and national employers. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to bring fresh ideas, integrate technology into learning, and support the continued growth of the Travel & Tourism curriculum.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging teaching and learning for allocated or new units across Travel & Tourism courses.
* Develop innovative course material aligned to curriculum requirements.
* Deliver high-quality lessons to ensure strong learner achievement and progression.
* Assess written and practical coursework, maintaining accurate records.
* Act as a tutor for one or more student groups, delivering tutorials and supporting learner welfare.
* Monitor attendance, track progress, and promote retention and achievement.
* Contribute ideas to strengthen employer engagement, guest speaker participation, and enrichment opportunities, including travel experiences.
Requirements
* Relevant industry experience within
Travel & Tourism, Aviation, or Cabin Crew
.
* Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
* Ability to motivate and inspire students across vocational contexts.
* Flexibility to support enrichment activities, including trips and employer visits.
* Teaching qualification desirable; government funding available for Level 5 or higher teaching qualification if not already held.
