The Process Technician Senior Coordinator is responsible for processing refined extract and intermediates using well-defined manufacturing procedures, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety (H&S) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
1. Carry out work without adversely affecting health, safety, security, or the environment, and report any shortcomings.
2. Manufacture BDS in accordance with cGMP standards as both Initiator and Checker.
3. Ensure all activities comply with H&S and cGMP standards as per SOPs and practices.
4. Author and update batch documentation, SOPs, and forms.
5. Complete quality documentation such as Deviations, CAPAs, Protocols, and Change Controls.
6. Be flexible with working hours to accommodate production overrun.
7. Work across all Production Departments, including BDP Areas, when trained.
8. Train and coach new or re-trained staff in BDS manufacturing processes.
9. Identify areas for process improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
10. Report atypical events or deviations immediately to line management.
11. Perform additional tasks to meet departmental objectives.
12. Potentially act as the BDS Department H&S representative and manage related tasks.
13. Potentially oversee consumable and Critical to Quality ordering within the department.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Experience in a regulated production environment, ideally in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, or food industries.
* Good numeracy and communication skills, including written.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
* Ability to work independently or in small teams.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to develop positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Willingness to challenge norms and suggest improvements.
* Team-oriented with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Education and Licenses
Ideally, qualifications in the pharmaceutical industry such as NVQs or similar.
