Senior Quantity Surveyor sought, Devon. Bekk R Solutions are actively seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong civils, or marine background. You will be joining a progressive, a leading UK marine and civil engineering contractor with over 30 years’ experience delivering projects including sea walls, quay piling, dredging, flood defences, and inland waterways etc nationwide. Key Responsibilities * Lead cost planning, forecasting, and value reporting across assigned projects. * Prepare tenders, bills of quantities, variations, and claims; negotiate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. * Monitor cost/value reconciliations (CVRs), cash flow, and margin performance. * Oversee procurement and subcontractor management, ensuring compliance and risk control. * Provide commercial guidance to project teams and mentor junior quantity surveyors. * Ensure commercial governance, timely valuations, and accurate final accounts. What you’ll need to succeed, * Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. * MRICS or CICES (or working towards) is desirable. * Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering or marine infrastructure. * Strong track record in cost management, CVRs, forecasting, and contract negotiation. * Solid understanding of UK construction contracts (NEC, JCT or equivalent). * Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills. * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide. * Experience in marine, coastal, or flood defence projects. * Familiarity with marine plant hire, piling, or commercial diving. * Knowledge of digital commercial systems and reporting tools. * Experience in marine infrastructure, flood defence, coastal engineering, or civil construction will be highly advantageous In return?
