Due to the nature of work that Sonic Healthcare UK undertakes, our clients require that Employees filling certain roles, need, as part of their on-boarding to complete a DBS Check. This role falls in to the category of requiring a DBS check (standard)
About the role:
The opportunity has arisen to appoint a Trainee BMS to the Ridgeway Laboratory. The post is a permanent post, converting to a permanent BMS position on successful completion of the portfolio within the agreed timeframes, and following assessment by the IBMS.
The applicant must satisfy the educational requirements of appropriate IBMS degree.
The successful candidate will then be required to train and be competency assessed up to an approved level whilst completing the portfolio, and progress to lone working competency upon HCPC registration attainment.
Failure to achieve the portfolio timeframes or pass the portfolio assessment will result in cessation of the post.
The successful applicant will be required to take part in the weekday shift system during the trainee period, and participate in the out of hours once successfully competent as a lone worker. This includes weeknights and weekends rotations at addition remuneration.
