The Head of Change Management Office (CMO) will play a key role in integrating Coventry and Co-operative Bank change functions to create a centre of excellence in change portfolio management. This role will enable value delivery through well-planned, governed, and executed change initiatives across various business capabilities.
The role involves establishing a Change Management Office with the capacity and capability to support a significant transformation, delivering value and change objectives aligned with the Group's strategy. Responsibilities include managing delivery processes, control frameworks, assurance, and governance to facilitate effective investment prioritization and data-driven decision-making.
The Head of CMO will lead the evolution and adoption of the Group's Change Delivery Framework, enforce governance standards, and support investment decisions through insights, ensuring transparency and alignment with Group strategy. The role requires creating a high-performing team across central and distributed change management functions, fostering collaboration, and establishing clear roles and tools to manage approximately £200m of change across multiple portfolios.
This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence two days a week, based at Coventry or Manchester, or a split between both locations.

About you:
You will have over 15 years of experience leading change management in large-scale strategic and regulatory programs, with strong stakeholder influence skills and team leadership capabilities. You should be familiar with multiple delivery methodologies, control frameworks, and data-based reporting tools such as JIRA and Power BI.
You will have partnered with executive leadership to translate strategy into change initiatives, set up and lead programs, and deliver objectives while managing risks and dependencies. Strong communication skills, resilience, and the ability to operate in ambiguity are essential.
Experience in financial services or regulated environments, managing budgets, and delivering ROI is required. You should be technologically savvy, emotionally intelligent, and adept at building relationships and communicating strategic messages effectively.
The role requires proven success in leading enterprise portfolio management offices, especially in regulated sectors, and experience with various delivery frameworks, including Scaled Agile (SAFe) and waterfall. Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to inspire and align teams are critical.
