We are looking for experienced Band 3 Health Care Support Workers to join our established ward team. You should already be able to demonstrate the clinical skills required for this post.
Broadford Hospital is a busy community hospital situated in the South of Skye. It has an inpatient ward and Emergency Department with 24 hour medical cover. The ward is a mixed acute ward providing acute medical care as well as rehabilitation, End of Life / palliative care, dementia care to patients from the local community.
We work closely with our sister hospital in Portree. There would be an opportunity to work across both sites. NHS Highland is committed to developing its staff and this could be the start of your journey into nursing. We are keen to ‘grow our own’ nursing staff and actively participate in Student Nurse training programmes with the Open University.
This post supports our vision of a highly skilled, experienced, flexible workforce that has knowledge and skills in delivering modernised services. You would be part of a dedicated professional nursing team delivering a high standard of nursing care on a mixed medical admissions ward. The work is dynamic and varied due to our rural community and it being a popular holiday destination.
We have a variety of full and part time posts available that include an internal rotation of day and night duties. If you’re not looking for a permanent contract at this point in time then we would welcome applications for Band 3 HCSW to join our bank scheme.
