Sales and Customer Service Administrator
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and self‑motivated individual eager to use, adapt and develop existing skills whilst embracing challenges and taking on new responsibilities.
Lanka Kade is a small family‑run business established in 1994 based in Market Harborough, south Leicestershire, on the borders of Northamptonshire and Warwickshire. Our modern headquarters incorporate a large office, showroom and 10,000 sq. ft warehouse. Passionate about ethical and sustainable trade, Lanka Kade specialises in the design, manufacture and wholesale of quality wooden toys suitable for children aged from birth to 8 years.
Daily responsibilities
* Order Management: Manage and process customer orders, and handle enquiries
* Customer communications: Make proactive calls to existing and prospective customers, respond to inbound telephone enquiries
* Credit control: Monitor customer accounts, process credit applications and chase overdue invoices
* Aftersales support: Handle product returns and customer complaints
* Account maintenance: Update and maintain accurate customer records

* Possesses at least 2 years of customer service experience
* Possesses at least 2 years’ experience using Sage Line 50 accounts or similar
Preferred Experience (not essential as training can be provided)
* Fair trade, sustainability or e‑commerce knowledge
* Understanding of toys and early years development
* Knowledge of exporting goods
Pay
£12.71 to 14.50 per hour (tell us your expectation)
Hours
Full time, 37.5 hours per week (9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday)
Location
Office based – remote working not considered
Holiday
28 days including bank holidays
This is an exciting opportunity to develop skills, take on new challenges and be a valued member of a small team whilst developing areas of specialism and individual responsibilities.
You will be required to attend major national and international events which will involve weekend working and unsociable hours. Future opportunities include visiting Sri Lanka and meeting our artisan groups.
