Your new roleAs Procurement Manager, you will deliver a professional,pliant andmercially focused procurement service across a defined portfolio of spend categories. You will lead high‑value, high‑risk andplex procurement exercises from initiation through to contract handover, ensuring robust supply chain solutions that support operational delivery.Operating as a trusted business partner, you will apply strongmercial judgement and expert knowledge of public procurement legislation, driving best‑in‑class procurement practices and value for money oues. You will influence senior stakeholders, shape sourcing strategies, manage tender processes end‑to‑end and contribute to the continuous development of procurement capability.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Leadingplex procurement projects using effective project management techniques
2. Applying and interpreting PCR 2015, the Procurement Act 2023
3. Developing sourcing strategies informed by market engagement and category analysis
4. Drafting robust tender and contract documentation
5. Managing tender processes via e‑procurement systems, including evaluation and award
6. Providing expertmercial advice, negotiation support and contract management guidance to a range of stakeholders
7. Supporting value for money, cost reduction and social value oues
8. Contributing to procurement strategy, procedures and templates
What you’ll need to succeedYou will be amercially astute procurement professional with the confidence and credibility to influence at all levels in a regulated environment. You will bring:
9. Demonstrable procurement experience with working knowledge of JCT contracts
10. Working knowledge of PCR 2015 and/or the Procurement Act 2023
11. Experience leading major procurement exercises and using framework agreements
12. Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills
13. Ability to manage multipleplex projects and priorities
14. A proactive, resilient and solutions‑focused mindset
