This role involves the servicing, maintenance, repair, and commissioning of a wide range of pumping systems, supporting critical building services including HVAC, water supply, and wastewater systems. The successful candidate will be a hands-on mechanical engineer with strong fault-finding ability and experience working in field-based environments. You will play a key role in ensuring systems operate efficiently while delivering a high level of service to clients. Hours of Work:Monday to Friday08:00 am - 17:00 pm Call-out rota and overtime as requiredKey Duties & Responsibilities:Carry out planned preventative maintenance PPM and reactive maintenance on commercial pump systemsService, repair, and maintain a range of pumps including end suction, inline, split-case, vertical multistage, booster, and sump pumpsDiagnose and fault-find on mechanical and electrical components including motors, seals, bearings, couplings, and VFD systemsPerform pump rebuilds, seal replacements, impeller adjustments, and motor alignmentsConduct system performance testing and vibration analysis to identify faults and inefficienciesSupport commissioning and start-up of new and existing pumping systemsRead and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system layoutsComplete detailed service reports, job sheets, and parts lists accurately and on timeCommunicate effectively with clients, providing updates and recommendations on system performance and repairsEnsure compliance with all health & safety and environmental regulationsMaintain company vehicle, tools, and diagnostic equipment to a high standardWork independently across multiple sites while managing workload effectivelyPackage:Up to £70,000 per annum dependent on experienceOvertime and call-out premiumsCompany vehicle Fuel Card provided mobile rolePension schemeOngoing training and manufacturer certificationsCareer progression opportunitiesRequirements:3–5 years’ experience working on commercial or industrial pump systemsStrong knowledge of pump systems, including pump curves, mechanical seals, and hydronic systemsExperience working with VFD-controlled systemsProven ability to diagnose both mechanical and electrical faultsAbility to work independently in a mobile roleFull UK driving licencePhysically capable of working in plant rooms, confined spaces, and lifting equipment as requiredStrong communication and reporting skillsDesirable Not Essential:Mechanical Engineering qualification or technical diplomaExperience with Building Management Systems BMSKnowledge of commercial HVAC systemsManufacturer training or certificationsHealth & Safety qualifications e.g. OSHA or equivalentPlease send your CV to Bailey White at CBW Staffing Solutions for more information and to avoid missing out on this opportunity.
