Job Title: Commissioning assistant (EV)\n\nLocation: London (travel required)\n\nPay: £24-28phr\n\nDuration: Ongoing no end date\n\nHours/Days: Monday - Friday (40hr week, additional work available, weekends, other time etc)\n\nCompany Overview: Join a pioneering company dedicated to enabling the transition to zero-carbon, non-polluting power and transport systems through innovative battery storage solutions!\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nPlay a critical role in accelerating zero-carbon transport by expertly commissioning EV charging infrastructure.\nTake ownership of the commissioning process, from electrical and network system testing to operational handover.\nApply your dual electrical and networking expertise for seamless integration of charging systems with operational networks.\nDrive quality and safety standards across all commissioning activities while maintaining project timelines.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex technical challenges and implement innovative solutions.\nShape commissioning best practises and contribute to continuous improvement of our delivery processes. \n\nA Taste of the Day to Day:\n\nReview and evaluate Electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) during project commissioning phases.\nDefine network and bill of materials requirements during initial design stages.\nProvide troubleshooting & technical engineering support to delivery PMs around electrical, network & EVC troubleshooting.\nLead on-site network cabinet installations and test functionality of network equipment.\nEnsure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to.\nSupport handover of commissioned sites to Operations, following our site completion checklist. \n\nA Bit About You: Essential Requirements:\n\nStrong knowledge of electrical & network infrastructure and its components.\nFormal electrical qualifications and network infrastructure experience.\nProficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and MS Project.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to attend and work on construction sites (CSCS, SMSTS or similar).\nFull UK Driving licence.
