We’re now looking for an Estate Caretaker to join our team on a fixed-term basis. About the role As an Estate Caretaker, you’ll play a key role in maintaining clean, safe and welcoming environments across our housing estates. You’ll carry out regular estate inspections, ensuring communal areas, open spaces and shared facilities are well maintained and free from issues such as fly tipping. You’ll also complete fire safety and compliance checks, reporting and following up any concerns. The role involves responding to tenant enquiries, supporting community initiatives, and working closely with colleagues and partners to resolve issues. You’ll also carry out minor repairs and help ensure that properties and communal areas remain in good condition. This is a site-based role covering a wide geographical area, so you’ll need to be flexible and able to work independently while managing your own workload effectively. What We Are Looking For To be successful in this role, you should have: Good DIY or maintenance skills Ability to work independently and use your initiative Strong time management and organisational skills A reliable and proactive approach to your work Good communication skills and the ability to work with residents and colleagues You’ll also need: A full UK driving licence Desirable Awareness of health and safety practices Basic IT skills for recording and reporting tasks Why Progress?
