Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a vibrant Derby secondary school. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team committed to providing high quality education and fostering a love for science among students.
What you'll be doing:
* Planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Developing and implementing schemes of work in line with the national curriculum
* Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on student progress
* Using innovative teaching methods to support and inspire students of all abilities
* Maintaining high standards of classroom management
* Participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole school training events
* Supporting the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
You need:
* QTS or equivalent
* A degree in a relevant science discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
* Experience teaching science at secondary level (KS3 and KS4)
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
* Commitment to continuous professional development
