Description Indirect Tax Project Manager (12 month fixed term contract) Location: Bristol or London, Hybrid In this position, you’ll be based in the London or Bristol office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for some of your working week. We give you a world of potential Computershare’s Finance function is responsible for providing transactional accounting services, tax, treasury, financial planning, analysis, reporting and commercial finance support to all business units and functions throughout Computershare, across all global locations. The Global Tax Team is a highly experienced multi-specialist global team working with a wide range of finance and business stakeholders in providing tax advisory, tax risk management and tax compliance services for the global Computershare group. We have a fixed term contract opportunity available for an indirect tax subject matter expert to utilise their specialist knowledge in delivering key strategic indirect tax projects to support the overall delivery of Computershare’s global priorities. A role you will love This role will own the planning and execution of key indirect tax projects which will maximise the efficiency and minimise the risk of Computershare’s indirect tax processes. You will deliver on agreed project objectives, including the operational handover of improved indirect tax processes and controls to the BAU indirect tax team. You will be an indirect tax subject matter expert with significant experience in indirect tax processes and controls, managing submissions to local tax authorities and project delivery. You will be an experienced business partner with the proven ability to manage a complex and diverse group of stakeholders at all levels and have a good understanding of multi-national service businesses Key Responsibilities Lead on the review, submission and negotiation of a new Partial Exemption Special Method (“PESM”) for the UK VAT group. Optimise the operationalisation of partial VAT recovery across our finance and tax processes and system Lead on other VAT recovery projects e.g. staff expenses and unclaimed tax credits. Work closely with key stakeholders within Computershare finance teams, business teams and external tax advisors Review and recommendations for solutions in a change environment Design and implementation of continuous improvement indirect tax processes and controls Documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) Key skills you will bring to the role An SME in indirect taxes which must include partial exemption expertise Understanding of how global indirect tax strategy and policies are shaped and delivered Deep expertise in indirect tax processes and controls, Oracle Fusion is desirable Ability to solve complex problems with multiple sources and outputs Negotiating at senior level to achieve outcomes Solutions focused in a changing environment Hold an accountancy or tax qualification, or have equivalent experience Rewards designed for you Flexible work to help you find the best balance between work and lifestyle Health and wellbeing rewards that can be tailored to support you and your family Invest in our business by setting aside salary to purchase shares in our company, and you’ll receive a company contribution as well.
