Pharmacy Team Manager Technician, Aseptic Services
Join to apply for the Pharmacy Team Manager Technician Aseptic Services role at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust.
UHCW Pharmacy is undergoing significant transformation to become a world-class leader in healthcare. We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Pharmacy Team Manager Technician Aseptic Services (fixed term for maternity cover).
The aseptic service at our hospital in Coventry is supported by a Quality Control laboratory. While cancer chemotherapy and clinical trial medications are the main aseptically dispensed products, we plan to introduce the dispensing of parenteral nutrition in the near future. The Trust collaborates with a local hospital group to rationalise and improve services across the local area, which may bring additional benefits through closer working.
Secondment will be considered for internal candidates. Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report from a UK occupational health provider or UK GP.
The post holder will be encouraged to be innovative and will work closely with the Aseptic Quality Assurance Team to maintain and improve high standards. Our spacious aseptic facility benefits from seven pharmaceutical isolators and a friendly and hard-working team of technicians and ATO staff.
You will be a registered Pharmacy Technician with substantial hospital aseptic experience, expert GMP knowledge and possess skills in both team and project management.
Responsibilities
* To lead and develop the pharmacy aseptic service provided to the Trust (and external organisations as required).
* To manage and lead the technicians and ATOs working within the pharmacy aseptic unit.
