CMA Recruitment Group are supporting a progressive Havant, Hampshire services business in their recruitment of a Financial Controller. This role will initially be for a 6 month period and has been created due to the ongoing growth of the business and internal progression of the Finance Director.
There is the possibility that this role could lead to a permanent position. The business has shown impressive growth over the last 3 years and is therefore able to offer excellent opportunities.
What will the Interim Financial Controller role involve?
1. Lead a small finance team and oversee all day to day finance operations including monthly internal and external statuary reporting;
2. Act as business partner to senior stake holders, ensuring finance information is fully understood and enabling sound decision making;
3. Review internal processes with a view to streamlining reporting and improving timescales of getting information into the business;
4. Support the review of the current finance system. There is the possibility that this interim position will also play a lead role in bringing in a new finance system into the business.
Suitable Candidate for the Interim Financial Controller vacancy:
5. Candidates will ideally be CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified and have experience of working in a similar SME finance role;
6. Strong communication and leadership skills are important as the business values it’s culture and sees healthy internal communication as a key part of its growth strategy;
7. Candidates will ideally be available to start within the next 4 weeks and commit to the duration of this assignment.
