We are seeking Teaching Assistants, Tutors, and Support Workers for Pupil Referral Units, SEMH Schools, and alternative education settings across West and North Yorkshire for long-term and short-term roles. Many of these roles lead to permanent positions, providing a great platform if you're aiming for a career in education or planning to pursue teacher training or work with young people more broadly. Several graduates I have supported have gone on to secure their dream jobs working with young people, teaching PE, or in Clinical or Educational Psychology.
We especially welcome applications from those with interests or experience in:
* A genuine passion for working with young people and improving their outcomes
* Youth community work, voluntary or paid
* Studies in Drama, Sports Coaching, or Psychology
* An outgoing, confident personality capable of working independently
* Some SEND experience (SEMH, PMLD, SEND, Autism, or other learning needs)
* Experience in residential support or as a care worker
* Possession or willingness to train in Team Teach or physical intervention techniques
* Mentoring or 1:1 tuition in English, Maths, or Science
* Support roles in teaching/learning assistance, numeracy, or literacy

Support Worker requirements include:
* A DBS certificate with a current subscription or willingness to obtain one
* Two professional references within the past five years and a CV covering 10 years
* A commitment to safeguarding young people

Pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanence later.

Free online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training are provided. Candidates must undertake or have completed an enhanced DBS check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
