Eden Scott’s client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mortgage Officer to join their team on a 6-month contract. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of UK mortgage regulations and a passion for ensuring compliance across all aspects of mortgage operations.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough compliance reviews of mortgage applications and supporting documentation
* Ensure all processes align with FCA regulations and internal compliance policies
* Assist in the development and implementation of compliance frameworks and controls
* Support internal audits and respond to regulatory queries
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to compliance reporting
* Collaborate with operational teams to identify and mitigate compliance risks
Requirements:
* Proven experience in mortgage compliance or a similar regulatory role within financial services
* CEMAP Qualified
* Strong working knowledge of UK mortgage regulations and FCA guidelines
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Familiarity with compliance systems and reporting tools is an advantage
