Assistant Solicitor - Multi-Track Personal Injury
Location: Warrington
Hours: .5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (7.5 hours per day plus a -minute lunch)
Annual Leave: days plus bank holidays
About the Role:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Solicitor to join a specialist Multi-Track Personal Injury team within a well-established and respected law firm.
The successful candidate will manage a caseload of complex personal injury claims, including high-value and serious injury matters, while working closely with senior members of the team. This role offers the chance to develop expertise within a supportive and collaborative environment, handling both litigated and non-litigated claims.
The position requires strong legal judgment, excellent client care skills and the ability to progress matters efficiently and proactively to settlement.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage a caseload of multi-track personal injury claims
2. Handle complex and high-value matters, including serious and catastrophic injury cases
3. Draft pleadings, witness statements and other legal documentation
4. Instruct and liaise with counsel, experts and third parties
5. Negotiate settlements and advise clients on strategy and likely outcomes
6. Assess liability, develop case strategies and issue proceedings where necessary
7. Ensure accurate and timely use of the case management system
8. Maintain high standards of compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct
9. Support the team in achieving billing and performance targets
10. Provide guidance and support to junior team members where appropriate
11. Undertake any additional duties as required
Person Specification:
12. Newly Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or up to 2 years' PQE
13. Strong background in personal injury litigation, with some multi-track experience preferred
14. Confident handling both litigated and non-litigated claims
15. Excellent client care and communication skills
16. Organised, proactive and able to manage a varied caseload independently
17. Experience using Proclaim or a similar case management system advantageous
