We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Miller to join our team in Birmingham. This role requires hands-on experience programming and setting Hurco CNC milling machines. The position is primarily 3-axis, with opportunities to work on 4-axis and 5-axis machines.
Key Responsibilities
* Program, set up, and operate Hurco CNC milling machines (WinMax control)
* Take jobs from drawing through to finished component
* Carry out full machine setups, tooling selection, and prove-outs
* Edit and troubleshoot programs at the machine
* Maintain quality and work to specified tolerances
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience programming Hurco CNC milling machines
* Strong 3-axis milling experience
* Ability to program, set, and operate machines independently
* Good understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and materials
* Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Beneficial (Not Essential)
* Experience using Fusion 360 CAM
* 4-axis and/or 5-axis milling experience
