Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Business Development, will play a critical role in driving global sales and business development strategy for our cutting-edge Cell and Gene Therapies (CGT) Technologies division. Reporting to the Senior Director for Sales and Business Development, the Senior Manager will be instrumental in growing our portfolio by identifying and capitalizing on strategic partnerships and business development initiatives within the rapidly advancing field of cell and gene therapies.
The Senior Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Field Application Specialists, R&D, Product Management, and Legal, to shape and execute business strategies that foster innovation and accelerate growth in alignment with overall business objectives and market needs. This role is ideal for a highly driven, strategic thinker with deep knowledge of the Cell & Gene Therapies industry.
Position Details
* Remote work possible, with willingness and ability to travel up to 40% (domestic & international), including regular trips to our U.S. headquarters in Lake Zurich, IL.
* Base salary range: $163,000 - $182,000
* Eligible for an annual bonus plan with a target of 14% of base salary.
* Final pay will depend on experience, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute business strategies to expand the CGT Technologies division through partnerships, collaborations, and licensing deals.
2. Identify, evaluate, and cultivate new business opportunities with pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, academic institutions, CDMOs, and other stakeholders.
3. Negotiate and structure complex agreements, ensuring favorable terms and risk mitigation.
4. Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities and threats, providing insights to senior leadership.
5. Collaborate with internal teams to assess scientific and technical feasibility, drive business objectives, and manage project timelines and deliverables.
Job Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
* 8+ years in sales and/or business development.
* 3+ years in the Cell and Gene Therapies industry, with deep understanding of industry trends, customer needs, and competition.
* Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and business analytics tools.
* Ability to travel up to 40%, including international travel.
