Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations and be comfortable with various tasks including materials handling, shipping and receiving, and quality control. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and the timely fulfilment of customer orders.
Responsibilities
* Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
* Manage materials handling, including loading and unloading goods from lorries.
* Utilise a warehouse management system to track inventory levels and orders.
* Participate in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation.
* Engage in picking and packing of products for dispatch, adhering to quality control standards.
* Stock shelves and maintain an organised warehouse environment.
* Conduct regular inspections of equipment, demonstrating mechanical knowledge as needed.
* Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
Requirements
* Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with familiarity in materials handling.
* Valid forklift certification is advantageous.
* Knowledge of warehouse management systems is beneficial.
* Strong attention to detail for quality control processes.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks throughout the shift.
* Excellent organisational skills with a focus on maintaining a tidy work area.
