Are you an inspiring educator with a passion for Computing Science and a drive to lead learning in a dynamic secondary school environment?
If so, we are seeking a committed and forward-thinking Principal Teacher of Computing to lead our Computing department and contribute to the wider life of the school.
As Principal Teacher of Computing, you will:
* Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Computing Science across the BGE and Senior Phase, including National, Higher and Advanced Higher levels.
* Lead the strategic development of the Computing department, ensuring a progressive and inclusive curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
* Support and mentor colleagues within the department, promoting professional learning and collaborative practice.
* Monitor and evaluate pupil progress and attainment, using data to inform planning and improvement.
* Contribute to whole-school initiatives, improvement planning, and the development of digital learning across the curriculum.
* Manage departmental resources effectively and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
* Play a key role in promoting STEM engagement and digital literacy across the school community.
Skills & Experience Required
You will be:
* A GTCS-registered teacher with a qualification in Computing or a related discipline.
* An excellent classroom practitioner with a strong understanding of Curriculum for Excellence and SQA qualifications.
* A confident leader with experience of curriculum development and a commitment to raising attainment.
* A collaborative team player who can inspire both students and colleagues.
* Passionate about digital learning and the role of Computing in preparing young people for the future.
